Blown chip in position D7700, unknown value
I was working on my MacBook Pro, when I decided to reconnect the right fan, since it had been unplugged for making a rattling noise. I lubricated it, and yet it still felt just a bit stiff. When I turned on the computer with it plugged in, it took a push to get it spinning, but it seemed to work. Then, smoke comes out from under the logic board. The component I find to be blown is in position D7700, but I do not know what kind of component it is (I assumed that it was a diode, since the position started with D), or what value. It is a small rectangular chip, with two legs on the left and right on the bottom, and one leg on the top that is centered. Amazingly, the rest of the system still seemed to be working, including the USB port and the optical drive. Also, the system booted and I was able to install El Capitan. So, what component could this be, and at what value?

Hi! If you could add some pictures of the damaged area to your post, it may help others identify the damaged component.

@wozmon you should at least identify the logic board by its 820-XXXX numbers. D7700 turns into a needle in a haystack without the proper board number. Help us to help you by supplying as much information (logic board number and images are best) as possible.
